Kleenoil bypass filtration systems have been in the market for over 26 years, with presence worldwide. The concept behind the systems initially started with the need to extend oil life during World War II given that oil was scarce at the time. Although bypass technology has been around for more than 70 years, advances in systems technology, designs, and quality standard improvements have allowed for the filtration systems to provide superior results in comparison to conventional filtration systems.
Basically, the concept lies in taking a small portion of the total oil flow (without affecting pressures) and passing it through a high density filter cartdrige (2-3 liters per minute). Consequently, particles up to 1 micron (3 microns absolute) are eliminated, 99.9% of water is removed, which in turn reduces engine wear and prolongs oil life. |
